Pyrex in Wesson Oil

PIRA 6A40.30

Image:

Description:

Wesson oil and Pyrex glass have the same index of refraction. When you drop a small beaker into the oil, it will seem to disappear! The light doesn't reflect since there's no change in the index and hence, we don't see it.
