WFU Physicists Present Research at the March Meeting of the APS

Professors Bill Kerr, Natalie Holzwarth, and Richard WIlliams, along with two graduate students, Doug Bonessi and Will Hodge, attended the meeting of the American Physical Society in New Orleans, March 10-14, 2008.

• Will Hodge gave a poster on "The One-Hole, One-Dimensional Hubbard Model at Infinity"
• Doug Bonessi gave a poster on "Optical Trapping Forces from Electric Fields Inside Dielectric Materials"
• Prof. Bill Kerr gave a talk on "Semiclassical Equations of Motion for Bloch Electrons in External Fields, Including Spin-Orbit Interaction"
• Prof. Natalie Holzwarth stood in proxy for Yaojun Du, giving his talk on "Simulation of Li ion diffusion near electrolyte-metal interface -- Li3PO4 and Li"
