Prof. Kerr's Retirement Celebration

May 8, 2008

Prof. Bill KerrTo celebrate Prof. Bill Kerr's retirement from the Physics Department and to honor his scholarly, teaching, and service commitments to Wake Forest University during his 38 years of service, the Department held a retirement dinner on Thursday, May 8th, 2008. The dinner, held in the Magnolia Room in Reynolda Hall, was attended by about 45 people. We all enjoyed the many stories Professor Kerr's colleagues and friends told at the dinner.

Professor Kerr will be remembered for his quick wit, his collegial personality, his dedication to the teaching of Statistical Mechanics, and his service as undergraduate major advisor for the Department of Physics for 16 years. We wish Prof. Kerr and his wife, Sandria, good health and good hiking!
