On Tuesday, May 4, 2010, the Department of Physics held a reception in honor of Christine Carlisle, who successfully defended her Ph.D. thesis entitled: "The Mechanical Properties of Individual Electrospun Fibers & Fibrin Fibers". Dr Carlisle's thesis advisor was Prof. Martin Guthold.
