Abstract:

Wile much of modern technological society is rooted in physics, many of us try to avoid the subject whenever possible. But learning about physics can be interesting and even fun when you can see how it connects to your world. This non-technical talk will use many live demonstrations to explain some of the physics behind things you use every day. In contrast to a magic show, which leaves you wondering how tricks were done, this "unmagic show" will explain everything.
